My Wonderful Guys!

This is Tashi's backyard where we stayed.  On the far left is Mr Jian, our very reserved driver who, as you can see, melted into an expression of joy and love and laughter!  Next is Nema, Tashi's best friend, who we just happened to have lunch with in Shandar before our journey to the nunnery.  At the last minute he decided to join us.  When Jian Su couldn't drive the very trecherous and wet roads, Nema took over.  Without him, we could not have made it.  He works for the governement and had driven the road before but, as he says, he had never prayed so hard!  Next is our dearest Tashi - translator turned family.  His wife and cousin made the malas in this backyard.  His hearts desire is to start a trade school for impoverished Tibetan adults.  And, of course, dear jeffrey - a real trooper.  We all talked about how we thought we wouldn't make it, and it was jeff's dry sense of humor that kept us breathing!  It was a perfect team and I will love them forever!
