Tara Malas and the Nangchen Nuns

Celedra Gildea, founder of Tara Malas is traveling in Tibet for two months. She will be there to help set up a cottage industry for the Nangchen Nuns of Tibet. Upon Tsokney Rinpoche’s recommendation, Tara Malas will be made by local villagers and then brought to the Nunneries for prayers and blessings. Tara Malas works in collaboration with Pundarika Foundation and Sukhasiddhi Foundation.

July 22nd

I roam the alleys for a bit, orienting myself to this new place and head back to my sweet place for an early dinner.  In my room, soon after dinner, the electricity goes off and candlelight is everywhere as I look out my window.  I light my own candle, find my trusty headlamp and curl up with my book about the history of the nuns of Tibet.

Life is good.
